AIDA Cruises launches new winter Norway and summer Canaries/Azores itineraries
AIDA Cruises launched it November 2015-October 2016 cruise program with over 130 itineraries including new winter cruises to Norway and summer sailing in the Canaries and Azores.

Three 14-day round-trip Hamburg sailings on AIDAvita visit Norway in search of the Norther Lights with stops in Lofoten, North Cape, Bodø and Haugesund in Norway, and Århus in Denmark.

In August, Fishguard in Wales and Newcastle feature on a round Britain and Ireland cruise  while a Nordic islands sailing features three stops in Iceland plus the Shetland Islands, Orkney and Denmark.

For the first time, AIDA is cruising in the Canary Islands in summer 2016 as well as in winter. New routes combine the Canary Islands and the Azores, with stops in Faial, Terceira, and São Miguel.

New Mediterranean ports of call include Nice, Ibiza and Minorca, La Spezia, Propriano in Corsica, and Souda Bay in Crete.

In North Europe new ports include Guernsey, the Yell Sound strait and Norwegian destinations Tromsø, Kristiansand, and Versterålen.

In the Canary Islands, El Hierro will feature on AIDA cruises for the first time; St. Thomas will be a stop in the Caribbean, Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic, and Costa Maya in Mexico.

Bornholm will be added to the Baltic Sea, and North America will now include Portland as a new port.

AIDA Cruises’ new 2015/16 brochure features over 200 ports in 63 countries across five continents. Cruises range from 3 to 51 day duration.

For the first time, the German brand sincludes themed cruises with cruises with workshops, presentations by guest speakers and entertainers. These include dance cruises, yoga and Ayurveda cruises.

Newest ship in the fleet, AIDAprima, will depart Yokohama in Japan on October 1, 2015, for a 50-day maiden voyage. The ship will spend the winter in Asia before heading to home port Hamburg from where it will sail year-round to Northern Europe cities starting in April 2016.

AIDAprima features 14 stateroom categories, 12 restaurants and 18 bars, and for the first time the AIDA Mini Club with childcare for children six months of age or older.
