AIDAvita makes first call at Port Tampa Bay

AIDAvita makes first call at Port Tampa Bay
AIDAvita paid its first call to Port Tampa Bay, an occasion marked by a plaque and gift exchange between the captain and port officials. The ship is scheduled to visit six times during the 2014/15 cruise season.

Capt. Hanjo Müller was presented with a plaque and gift from Paul Anderson, port president and ceo, who called the addition of AIDA Cruises to Tampa's lineup a milestone—not just for the port but for all tourism and economic development partners in the region.

AIDAvita and its crew also received a commendation from the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners, and an official welcome from tourism officials.

On its evening departure from Port Tampa Bay, AIDAvita received a fireworks display provided by the port authority.
