Carnival promotion waives initial deposit for group bookings

Carnival promotion waives initial deposit for group bookings
As part of the new 'Reuniting for Fun' group promotion, Carnival Cruise Lines is waiving its initial deposit requirement for group bookings and enhancing its free berth program, through Sept. 30.

An initial deposit will not be required for group bookings on departures between March 1, 2015, and April 30, 2016.

In addition, Carnival is offering travel agents one free cruise berth for every 10 full fare customers berthed, compared to the line’s current policy of one free berth for every 15 travelers.

As a special bonus, Carnival is offering one free berth for every eight full fare customers on select five- to 14-day sailings from a number of US homeports, including Galveston, Baltimore, New York, San Juan and Port Canaveral.

'This is an excellent incentive for reunion groups to book their cruise and take advantage of the many fantastic elements of this promotion,' said Joni Rein, vp worldwide sales for Carnival.

Group fares applicable to this promotion, which are available between now and Sept. 30, begin at $249 for three- to five-day cruises and $449 for voyages of six days or longer.
