Celebrity launches snapshot contest in partnership with World Photography Organisation
Celebrity Cruises and the World Photography Organisation have teamed up to launch a new photography contest, ‘Global Encounters’, which encourages photographers to capture and share their imagery from across the globe.

Winning images will be on display at Somerset House in London, May 2015.

The contest, ‘Global Encounters - Snapshot’, will run from now until January 31, 2015. Judges include Celebrity Cruises' ‘Destination Expert’ and former Tatler Magazine picture editor, Ben Fogle.

The contest will focus on a selection of worldwide destinations visited by Celebrity Cruises. From August 2014 to October 2014, photographers can submit travel snapshots that capture the essence of the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Alaska.

From November 2014 to January 2015, submitted photos will need to be taken in the Caribbean, The Galapagos Islands and South America.

The ‘Snapshot’ contest allows a single image from each destination visited, and monthly entries must be uploaded by the 14th of every calendar month.

A judging panel including Ben Fogle, Celebrity Cruises and WPO will choose a monthly winner who will receive a Sony A5000 Compact System Camera.

In February 2015, the judging panel will select an overall winner from the monthly finalists who will win the opportunity to have their work displayed at Somerset House in London next May, and a two night stay for two in Central London.
