Celebrity to highlight San Francisco-Alaska cruises with ferry takeover
Celebrity Cruises will be taking the San Francisco to Larkspur ferries to a new level during the evening commute on Sept. 16.

With Celebrity Century in port and a banner flying overhead, the cruise line will be making a splash to announce its 2015 Alaska sailings to and from San Francisco.

Larkspur ferry riders will be greeted with gourmet catered bites of Alaskan salmon and bubbles courtesy of Mumm Napa along with treats from Ala Romana restaurant as they board on Sept. 16. While the ferry is underway, Celebrity will lavish riders with the line's 'Modern Luxury' experience by serving chocolate-dipped strawberries, offering complimentary massages and raffling off give-aways.

Celebrity will also take over the San Francisco ferry landing with Liam Mayclem, host of KCBS radio’s Foodie Chap, joining in the fun as a jazz quartet plays tunes.

All of Celebrity's 2015 San Francisco sailings will use the new cruise terminal opening next week at Pier 27.

The four Alaska sailings include an 11-night 'Golden Gate Cruise' departing from San Francisco May 15, a 12-night 'Golden Gate Alaska Cruise' from San Francisco on May 26, a 12-night 'Golden Gate Cruise' on Aug. 23 from Vancouver, BC, to San Francisco and a 14-night 'Golden Gate Alaska Cruise' departing from San Francisco on Sept. 4.
