Ceres Terminals taps Royal Caribbean veteran for cruise services role
Robert Moroney, who spent the last 11 years with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. in a variety of port operations management roles, is joining Ceres Terminals as director, cruise services.

Moroney will be responsible for overseeing the business development of Ceres Cruise Services in North America. He starts Sept. 7 and will be based in South Florida.

Moroney brings more than 20 years of experience in senior management positions across multiple industries. At Royal Caribbean, he participated in the organization and supervision of the $65m Port Everglades Oasis Terminal 18 construction project and was manager of worldwide port operations. 

Most recently he was manager of worldwide operations-guest port services, responsible for handling the overall passenger experience in Royal Caribbean's 63 worldwide turnaround ports.

At Ceres, Moroney will serve as the primary contact for the company’s cruise customers, implementing cruise contracts for current and new business and assisting senior management in the development of marketing/sales objectives and strategies. He will report to Lars Ljoen, vp cruise services/ro-ro services.
