Jardine: Agents can now boost their cruise knowledge without leaving their desks
In conjunction with CLIA’s UK office, CLIA Australasia this week launched its Online Learning Academy for travel agents on both sides of the Tasman.

Hailing it as ‘a landmark for the industry body,’ gm Brett Jardine said agents will now be able to undertake all compulsory CLIA training online that is required to achieve Accreditation as part of their annual CLIA membership.

Jardine said this new step forward reflects the creation of CLIA’s global front last year.

He said all CLIA training that will remain on offer in capital cities around Australia and New Zealand are now considered ‘elective modules’ and in time these will also be available online.

He said online access to industry training delivers a plethora of benefits. However, he conceded that ‘we do miss out on the passion and personal experience that forms part of a classroom environment.’
