Next month, 1960’s singer and recording star Georgie Fame will join pirate radio DJ’s on board Cruise and Maritime Voyages’ Marco Polo on a themed cruise celebrating the 50th anniversary of Radio Caroline.

Departing August 6, from London – Tilbury for three nights, the ‘Pirate Radio Beat Boat Cruise’ sails to Amsterdam and  Antwerp.

Onboard with Fame will be DJ presenters Johnnie Walker and Emperor Rosko who 50 years ago this year worked on Radio Caroline.

As Marco Polo cruises the sea off Essextowards Holland, she will pass close to the original mooring of the iconic Radio Caroline. It was this ship that inspired the movie ‘The Boat that Rocked’ and is the subject of a new book to mark the 50th Anniversary.
