Crystal gains access to exclusives at Fabergé Museum
Crystal Cruises has made special arrangements for small groups to visit areas of St. Petersburg's Fabergé Musuem that are not open to the public, including Romanov family exhibits, former aristocratic domiciles and Brothers Karamazov art collections.

Precious bejeweled Fabergé eggs are the centerpiece of the 'insider' tour, although more than 4,000 antique pieces of Russian decorative arts and palatial surroundings will envelop participants in opulence during their visit.

The museum curator will guide Crystal passengers through Russian billionaire Viktor Vekselberg's private collection of imperial Fabergé, which includes 15 of the world's remaining 50 eggs designed by Carl Fabergé. Nine of them belonged to Russia's final tsarist family, the Romanovs, and Crystal said they are considered to be the jeweler's finest works.

The new boutique excursion is available for $229 with four Crystal Symphony 10-day voyages from Stockholm and Copenhagen, departing June 24, July 4, July 28 and Aug. 7. Passengers who explore St. Petersburg with an organized excursion avoid the need for a visa within the city.
