Crystal Plaza - new look adds drama
Crystal Symphony emerged from a two-week, $20m-plus drydock with new designs in the ship's main activity hubs, Crystal Plaza and Crystal Cove, and new fitness spaces, as well as technology upgrades throughout. The spa and casino were redesigned and more PURE allergy-friendly staterooms were created.

A new outdoor Fitness Garden was added to Decks 7, 8 and 12 aft, featuring a 'Curated Self-Guided Movement Journey' using glass-blasted, stainless steel equipment, with adjustments for different fitness levels.

Deck 12’s indoor Fitness Center gained new equipment from Technogym, including cardio equipment and an expanded collection of Kinesis strength training equipment. Now Crystal Symphony features Technogym's top-of-the-line Artis equipment, available with an intuitive, tablet-like Unity interface programming system enabling users to connect to music, data, workout tracking or television.

The Crystal Plaza's main lobby area, including the reception, front desk and concierge sections, has added drama with a new waterfall, an indigo and bronze color palette, customized carpets, new upholstery and tables for fresh flowers complementing the existing marble floors and wood balustrade and stair details. The contemporary look was inspired by designer Christopher Farr.

In the Cove Bar, new furniture, contrasting indigo and cream color palette, artwork and metal-work cocktail tables are intended to convey an elegant luxury yacht setting, while a revised layout allows for more social group seating and places the bar as the centerpiece of the space. New sculptural furniture pieces, drapery, artwork and a large-scale custom carpet give a flowing look to the design.

Forty-eight newly converted PURE hypoallergenic luxury staterooms are now available on the ship, offering a chemical- and odor-free indoor environment. With a medical grade air purifier discreetly installed to filter out 99.9% of airborne impurities on an ongoing basis, the rooms can give relief from allergies and help induce sounder sleep.

In the spa, colorful new tiles adorn the steam room and changing areas in the men’s and women’s spa facilities, while the salon has been upgraded with a new pedicure area and wall coverings.

The casino's port side side wall was removed to create a more open, accessible space, showcasing a modified layout, and new slot machines.

The Bistro has new seating and décor, freshening one of the most popular meeting and dining spots on the ship.

Tech upgrades include new digital signage to display important cruise and programming details throughout Crystal Symphony on 14 flat-screen monitors near lounges, theaters, dining and sales areas.

Deck 10 staterooms and Penthouses now sport new verandah furniture, while carpets for all deluxe staterooms (415 in all), as well as corridors on four decks, were replaced.

Shopping in Facets now features watches from luxury designers Hublot, Jaegar LeCoulture and Zenith.
