Dietmar Wertanzl - credited with being 'a strong contributor to FleetPro’s growth'
Senior executive Dietmar Wertanzl has given his resignation and will be leaving FleetPro Passenger Ship Management at the end of November, the company said.

Wertanzl, evp hotel operations and guest satisfaction, has been with the company in Miami for more than four years and built the FleetPro Leisure division into a substantial part of the business.

'Dietmar has been a strong contributor to FleetPro’s growth and our high quality performance,' ceo Robert Straubhaar said.

Johan Groothuizen, who has run his own consultancy after retiring from a long career at Holland America Line at the end of 2013, will temporarily take over the role as evp hotel operations to ensure a seamless transition for a successor, FleetPro said.

During Wertanzl's tenure, FleetPro (formerly International Shipping Partners) attracted luxury ship management contracts including Silversea Expeditions.

'I enjoyed working on the ship management side and got great insight into deal-making and contracts. Moving forward, it's time for me to go back to a brand and work on some new opportunities. My passion is still the cruise industry,' Wertanzl told Seatrade Insider.

He previously held senior roles with Cruise West, Tauck, Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises and Royal Viking Line.
