John Portelli is new ceo of Roma Cruise Terminal

John Portelli overseeing Civitavecchia's cruise terminals
John Portelli is the new general manager of Roma Cruise Terminal, the operator of the cruise terminals in Italy’s port of Civitavecchia.

He succeeded outgoing general manager Mauro Patuzzi, effective from September 1. Pattuzi stays at RCT as operations director.

Roma Cruise Terminal is expecting to handle 2.5m passengers in 2014, continuing on the positive trend registered during the past five years. It is equally owned by Costa Crociere, Marinvest and Royal Caribbean Cruises.

Portelli previously held the position of ceo at Valletta Cruise Port plc, the operator of the Valletta Cruise Terminal and of the Valletta Waterfront which he departed in May after five years at the helm.
