Ten more Viking Longships to be delivered from March 2016
Germany's KfW IPEX-Bank is financing the construction of another 10 vessels for Viking River Cruises at Neptun Werft in a €225m deal. The 190-passenger Viking Longships will be delivered starting in March 2016.

The financing, with an 8.5-year term, involves export credit insurance from Germany's Hermes agency and the favorable Commercial Interest Reference Rate.

Together with other banks, KfW IPEX-Bank has financed 37 river vessels for Viking between 2011 and 2014.

'By making financing available, we are not only contributing our structuring know-how in the maritime industry but also helping to secure jobs in Papenburg and Rostock,' said Christian Murach, board member of KfW IPEX-Bank.

Neptun Werft is affiliated with Meyer Werft in Papenburg.

Like the earlier Viking Longships, each 2016 newbuild will be 135 meters long and 11.45 meters wide, with 95 outside cabins for passengers plus 31 crew accommodations.
