Le Havre's drawing competition to raise cruising's awareness

Le Havre's drawing competition to raise cruising's awareness
The Le Havre Cruise Club organised a drawing competition for the primary school classes in and around Le Havre.

The theme was "draw-me a cruise ship”. The five winning classes of 134 pupils and 15 accompanying adults were invited to the Cruise Terminal last week where they visited the adjacent Maritime Museum and met the Cruise Club’s president, Agnès Firmin Le Bodo who announced the awards.

The winning class has been invited to go onboard a cruise ship calling in the port,  whilst the second prize was a tour of the harbour aboard a sailing ship and the third prize, a tour of Le Havre by scenic train.

The goal of the competition was to give a taste of cruising to the young generation and via them to their parents commented Valerie Conan, cruise director of Le Havre Tourism.
