Malmö adds guides, opens stores early on 'Pullmantur Saturdays'
In two cruise-related developments, Sweden's Malmö launched a guide training course to have 22 new guides ready for the 2015 season, and several department stores will open earlier on Saturdays when Pullmantur's Empress is in port.

With the number of German visitors increasing and five of summer's 18 cruise calls by AIDA Cruises' AIDAcara, the city has taken steps to meet the rising demand for guides who speak German and other languages.

Cruise Malmö Network, Malmö Tourism and other local tourist authorities teamed on the guide program.

And on the Saturdays when Pullmantur passengers are in port, several department stores will open an hour earlier, at 9 a.m.
