Mein Schiff 1 makes maiden call at Tobago

Tobago officials held a ceremony to commemorate the maiden call of Mein Schiff 1. Thursday's visit was the first of multiple calls TUI Cruises plans at the southern Caribbean island in the 2014/15 season.

On hand were Orville London, chief secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly; Samuel Henry, transportation coordinator, Department of Tourism & Transportation; and Charles Carvalho, ceo of Carvalho's Group, the parent of Carvalho’s Agencies, a provider of port agency services in Trinidad and Tobago,

London presented Mein Schiff 1 Capt. Rolf Johannes Doack with a Tobago artwork to commemorate the occasion. 

TUI Cruises is expected to bring about 19,000 passengers to Tobago this season.
