MSC uncorks Mediterranean wine-themed cruises
A trio of wine-themed Mediterranean sailings will offer MSC Cruises passengers expert-led tastings and talks, excursions to wine estates and a beverage package of fine wines on board.

‘On The Wine Routes’ cruises promise immersion into the world of Mediterranean wine production, trade and tradition.

The seven-night cruises on MSC Splendida will sail from Genoa on Nov. 2, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14, making stops in Italy, Tunisia, Spain and France. The November departures are scheduled to call at Naples, Messina, Tunis, Barcelona and Marseille, while the December cruise's Italian ports will be Civitavecchia and Palermo.

Every 'On The Wine Routes' cruise includes city tours, talks, tastings of a wide range of fine local wines and insights by leading experts in the art, science and business of wine.

MSC said the cruise program includes one excursion to a wine producer or cellar in France, Spain or Italy, and a high quality beverage package, comprising superior wines served with on-board meals and a bottle of fine sparkling wine on gala night.
