New American Eagle will ply entire Mississippi in 22-day cruise
American Cruise Lines' 'Complete Mississippi Cruise' is a 22-day program offered on the 150-passenger American Eagle, scheduled to enter service in the spring. The voyage begins in New Orleans and ends in St. Paul, Minn., stopping at 16 towns and cities along the way.

American Eagle will offer spacious staterooms and private balconies with sliding glass doors. Open seating dining is another feature. Daily educational events and themed entertainment will paint a picture of what life on the Mississippi was like in days gone by.

'It’s been evident that our guests enjoy cruising more than one portion of the Mississippi River at a time, often purchasing back-to-back [itineraries],' said Timothy Beebe, vp of American Cruise Lines.

The Complete Mississippi River cruise is scheduled to depart Aug. 8, 2015.
