River expedition company, Pandaw has announced its new eight-day Brahmaputra River programme in the Assam region of north-east India onboard 23-suite Mahabaahu.

The itineraries will commence in March 2015, visiting the largest river island in the world and meet the Mishing people that inhabit the region.

Pandaw guests will head into the Assam province’s green hills, plains and forests travelling by boat, jeep and elephant to learn more about the aromatic tea that it is known for.

The Brahmaputra River also provides a view of  the Himalaya mountains.

In addition to the cruise, Pandaw also offers pre and post stays in five-star hotels in Delhi and Kol-kata, including domestic connecting flights.
