Pandaw operates a growing fleet of vessels on the Irrawaddy and Chindwin rivers in Burma and on the Mekong in Cambodia and Vietnam.
Company founder Paul Strachan said the colonial character and friendly atmosphere set Pandaw ships apart, along with their ultra-shallow drafts that facilitate travel to remote areas.
'We at Pandaw have had to keep coming up with new more adventurous, more cutting-edge routings and experiences. As other ships get bigger our ships are getting smaller,' Strachen added.
David Giersdorf, president and ceo of Seattle-based Global Voyages Group, said the company looks forward to further developing the North American market for its new client.
'Pandaw River Expeditions is an extraordinary story and travel experience, providing exactly the right mix of authentic, deep destination immersion along with luxurious comfort and genuinely caring service,' Giersdorf said. 'The differences between Pandaw and other river cruises are substantial, setting it apart as one of the world’s great adventures.'
