P&O cancels its maiden call at Robe due to heavy seas
As reported here, P&O Cruises Australia’s 1,800-passenger Pacific Pearl was to have made the company’s first call at Robe, a fishing port on the southeast Limestone Coast of South Australia, yesterday.

However, large swells of up to four metres prevented her from anchoring off the port.

The 64,500gt ship, which returned to Melbourne today, was on a six-night round cruise from Melbourne and made the company’s first calls at Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island.

Robe is next on P&O’s agenda in 2015 when Pacific Pearl sails from Sydney on February 21 on an eight-night round cruise from Sydney that will also visit Portland, Kangaroo Island and Eden.
