Ponant opens bookings for 2016 cruises
Sixteen months ahead of the first departures, Ponant is opening bookings for 2016 itineraries.

Among new highlights, a two-day call right in the heart of New York on board 264-passenger Le Boréal  during a 10 day/9 night Boston roundtrip cruise in October,  which will include stops at Lunenbourg (New Scotland, Canada), Bar Harbor (Maine), Province Town (on Cape Cod Peninsula), Newport (Rhode Island) and Oak Bluffs (Martha’s Vineyard).

Le Boréal will also chart two itineraries in May 2016, departing from London and Dublin. Docked under Tower Bridge on the Thames, it will leave for Ostende (Belgium), Isle of Wight and Scilly Islands before heading to Ireland and calling at Gallway, Kiillibegs, Belfast and Dublin. From the Irish capital, it will then offer a new way to explore Scotland’s western coast sites, with stops at Iona, Mull, Lewis and Skye islands and visits of Glasgow, Liverpool and Belfast.

In the Med, sister vessel Le Lyrial (launching spring 2015) will chart a Malaga/Malaga itinerary along the Guadalquivir (for tours to Seville) before calling at Cadix, sailing the Strait of Gibraltar and stopping at Motril to visit Granada and its Alhambra.

Le Lyrial will also call in Greece and Croatia during an Athens-Venice cruise, with visits to Paxos, one of the most secret Ionian islands, Zakynthos and its famous Navagio Beach accessed only by boat and Opatija (Istria). The itinerary also includes a Corinth Canal crossing, navigation in Mouth of the Kotor, Dubrovnik, Mijet, Korkula, Trogir and the Kornati islands.
