Royal Caribbean
Quantum of the Seas moves backward, for greater safety, with the assistance of two tugs, through the north German countryside en route to the North Sea
Update: The passage of Royal Caribbean International's newest ship to the sea got underway Monday afternoon. The vessel is moving backward, for additional safety in the narrow river channel, with the assistance of two tugs.  Quantum of the Seas' conveyance along the Ems River has been rescheduled to start at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Forecasted high winds had delayed the ship's departure from Meyer Werft on Sunday.

The new schedule has Quantum arriving at the North Sea port of Eemshaven, Netherlands, at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A provisional timetable for the transit is here.
