Saint John heads into busy cruise stretch

Saint John, New Brunswick's cruise season resumes Oct. 5 with nine ships and 18,000 passengers expected over a five-day period that includes two double ship days and one triple ship day.

Wednesday, the triple ship day, will bring 6,200 passengers and 2,500 crew.

Regatta will be in port Sunday, Grandeur of the Seas on Monday and Celebrity Summit and Norwegian Gem on Tuesday, according to Betty MacMillan, manager, cruise development for Port Saint John.

Wednesday brings Seven Seas Navigator, Norwegian Dawn and Royal Princess, while Carnival Splendor and Brilliance of the Seas arrive Thursday, MacMillan said.
