Seabourn Spirit, Legend return to the Caribbean for last hurrah

Seabourn Spirit, Legend return to the Caribbean for last hurrah
For their last season sailing under the Seabourn banner, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend will return to the Caribbean where they entered service more than 20 years ago. The vessels have been sold to Xanterra and will operate as Star Breeze and Star Legend for Windstar Cruises, starting in the spring.

This last Seabourn season will incorporate the brand's signature events such as the 'Caviar in the Surf' beach barbecue and the watersports Marina Day.

'Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend have delivered countless unforgettable memories and special "Seabourn Moments" over the years,' Seabourn president Rick Meadows said. 'We invite our guests to celebrate these fine ships and come back one more time to where it all began in the Caribbean.'

Beginning Nov. 15, Seabourn Spirit will offer 18 seven-day cruises alternating between St. Maarten and Barbados. The ship will depart on its final voyage under the Seabourn banner on March 21, a 13-day trans-Atlantic voyage from St. Maarten to Barcelona.

On Nov. 9, 2014, Seabourn Legend will begin a series of seven-day voyages alternating between St. Maarten and Aruba and end its Caribbean season with three seven-day cruises round-trip from St. Thomas.

Destinations include St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Barts, Mayreau in the Grenadines' Tobago Cays, Le Marin on Martinique and Guadeloupe's  Îles des Saintes.
