Seven Seas Suite - designed by Dakota Jackson
After making a splash by unveiling a 3,875-square-foot Regent Suite with in-room spa, Regent Seven Seas Cruises detailed all 10 categories of veranda suites on 2016's Seven Seas Explorer.

There are 375, all characterized by large verandas, European king-sized Suite Slumber Beds with sumptuous linens and oversized bathrooms with marble and decorative tile. Ninety-three percent of the verandas are larger than 83 square feet.

Seven Seas Explorer accommodations range from the 307-square-foot entry-level Veranda Suite to the one-of-a-kind Regent Suite.

The 85 top tier named suites include the Master, Grand, Explorer, Seven Seas and Penthouse suites. In addition to all the amenities currently included on Regent Seven Seas Cruises, passengers booking a named suite for the inaugural Mediterranean season will get free business class air, one-night pre-cruise five-star hotel package, free unlimited Internet access and butler service.

The Master Suite has chic Park Avenue style, with rosewood polished furniture and crystal chandeliers. This two-bedroom suite is located at the bow of the ship on Decks 7 and 8. The four Master Suites measure between 1,900 square feet and 2,100 square feet and have a spacious living area with a bar for entertaining and balconies up to 1,000 square feet. Adjacent to each bedroom are ornate marble and stone bathrooms with shower and tub.

Sister suites, the Grand and Explorer suites, share a common design element with high-contrast emerald accents blended with gray, brown and cream décor elements. Both suites feature two full baths, and living areas with marble mosaics, exotic woods and custom furniture pieces based on haute couture fashion. The Grand Suite ranges up to 1,800 square feet and offers an expansive private balcony, while the Explorer Suite stretches to 1,350 square feet and offers a slightly larger living space.

Designer Dakota Jackson created the glamorous look for the Seven Seas Suite. It offers between 825 square feet and 925 square feet of space, and exudes a cosmopolitan apartment feel with golden colored ceiling accents. The accommodation flows from living room to dining area to bedroom, with sliding glass doorways leading to the spacious private balcony throughout. A white marble bathroom sits adjacent to the oversized bedroom.

As earlier reported, the Penthouse Suites are inspired by the sapphire. They range up to 625 square feet with an entertainment center that separates the living room and bedroom. A marble-topped bar and intimate dining area are at the entrance, with the living room further inside. Sliding glass doorways in the bedroom and living room lead to an oversized balcony.

The Concierge Suites account for a majority of the accommodations aboard Seven Seas Explorer, with a total of 140. In addition to all the amenities currently included on Regent Seven Seas Cruises, passengers booked in a Concierge Suite are entitled to one-night pre-cruise luxury hotel package, free Internet packages and priority access to book shore excursions and specialty dining.

The Concierge Suite measures up to 460 square feet, with the European king-sized Suite Slumber Bed facing outwards toward the veranda. A decorative vanity sits adjacent to the bed and the living area.

The 415-square-foot Superior Suites were inspired by the beachfront estate homes found in the Hamptons with cool blue, brown and white color palette. This suite shares the same design and layout as the Concierge Suites with the bed facing toward the veranda and looking over the living area.

The Deluxe Veranda and Veranda suites are 340 square feet and 310 square feet respectively, placing them among the most spacious entry-level staterooms at sea. The Veranda Suites have a warm, island manor feel and a separate sitting area with a couch, coffee table and marble-top vanity.

Reservations for Seven Seas Explorer’s July 20, 2016, maiden cruise and inaugural season opened on Jan. 19 exclusively for Seven Seas Society members and will become widely available starting Feb. 4.
