Un-Cruise ups Columbia, Snake river departures, offers savings
Seattle-based Un-Cruise Adventures added more river cruise opportunities in the Pacific Northwest with the S.S. Legacy scheduled for 34 departures on the Columbia, Snake and Willamette rivers from April to November 2015.

The line is also offering a savings on fall 2014 river cruises.

Savings of $400 per couple are available for bookings made by June 20, 2014. The offer applies to river cruises departing August to November this year.

'The popularity of USA river cruising is growing,' said Capt. Dan Blanchard, CEO, who added the Legacy sails round-trip Portland, Ore., which allows for convenient air connections.

In 2015, Legacy becomes Un-Cruise Adventures' full-time river cruise boat sailing week-long voyages with tours included in every port. Among the highlights are a jet boat tour into Hells Canyon, Multnomah Falls, Bonneville Dam, a private tasting at a Washington winery, Fort Walla Walla, Maryhill Museum, Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, Astoria’s Columbia River Maritime Museum, Fort Clatsop and transit of eight locks.

Excursions and on-board presentations focus on the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Oregon Trail, Native Americans, early pioneers and entrepreneurs. Todd Weber, a guest expert on Lewis and Clark, joins four departures in 2015 to give additional insights.

Singing duo Letters from Home will perform their 1940s-style harmonies, tap dancing and comedy on the Oct. 11, 2014 departure.

Inclusive rates with guided tours at each port; premium wine, beer and spirits; all taxes, fees and transfers, start at $3,195 per person, double occupancy.
