Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours’ next-generation submersible, Scenic Neptune II, successfully completed sea trials and safety certification.

Scenic Neptune II is on board Scenic Eclipse II’s upcoming 2024-25 voyages to the South Pacific, Indonesian archipelago, Australia, New Zealand and East Antarctica.

Director of Discovery Operations Jason Flesher said the new submersible features 270-degree panoramic views and is capable of diving up to 100 meters.

At one with the water

‘The clarity of the acrylic hull once submerged is such that you feel at one with the water,’ Flesher said.

‘Encountering the marine life of the South Pacific and Australia’s Great Barrier Reef within Scenic Neptune II will create memories to last a lifetime,’ he said.

As well as Scenic Neptune II, there will be two of the latest helicopters and four seabob jets for driving and diving.

Maiden season Down Under

Scenic Eclipse II’s inaugural season in the Oceania region began on Wednesday when the all-inclusive yacht sailed from Valparaíso to cross the Pacific.

She will arrive in Australia, where Scenic was founded, for the first time on April 20.

She will cruise along the East Coast of Australia and visit the Top End and the Kimberley.
