AIDAcara to undergo maintenance at Lloyd Werft in Ocober
AIDA Cruises’ AIDAcara will undergo a 13 day drydocking for technical work at Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven in October. This is the second AIDA ship that has used the facility this year, following AIDAbella in April.

Built in Finland in 1996, 38,557gt AIDAcara will undergo class and maintenance work.

Lloyd Werft board chairman, Rüdiger Pallentin said the order marked not only ‘the success of our efforts to win AIDA as a customer, but also proof of the good work we have already completed.’

During her stay in Bremerhaven LW will carry out tank cleaning, gearing and rudder work, gangway weight tests and seacock inspection. AIDA Cruises’ personnel will undertake renewal work in the passenger areas.

AIDAcara was AIDA’s first Club Ship newbuild. Today the German brand has a fleet of 10 ships plus 2 on order and carried around 633,000 passengers last year.
