ALMACO continues refurb cooperation with Star Cruises

ALMACO continues refurb cooperation with Star Cruises
ALMACO Group’s cooperation with Star Cruises in the modernization of the cruise line’s fleet continued with the recent refurbishments of SuperStar Aquarius and Star Pisces at Hong Kong United Dockyards in Tsing Yi, Hong Kong.

Right after the Aquarius project was successfully completed in February, ALMACO moved on to work with Star Pisces, where the scope of work included modernization of Galaxy Of The Stars lounge.

The lounge received a complete facelift to all visible surfaces including ceilings, wall coverings, bar front, carpets and soft furnishings. Moreover, new loose furniture was delivered to the lounge.

The refurbishment involved heavy steel works, as the old stage was removed and a new one built onto another location within the area, including a section of new raised floor seating area to ensure better visibility for the guests.

In addition to the lounge upgrade, ALMACO delivered a full turnkey conversion in which nine standard cabins were demolished to allow for the new Oscars Beauty Salon where guests enjoy indulging treatments during their stay onboard.

Timo Vuorinen, ALMACO’s  project panager, states that “this project was completed without any remarks several days before ALMACO’s contractual delivery date, thus leaving the ship’s onboard staff enough time to prepare themselves for the first post-refit cruise.’

The ship is currently sailing one-night cruises out of Hong Kong Ocean Terminal.

Beforehand ALMACO refurbished all 732 standard cabins on SuperStar Aquarius including adding new upholstery and carpets.
