Voyager of the Seas to get massive refurbishment for 2014/15 Down Under season

Royal Caribbean International has announced the 138,000gt Voyager of the Seas will undergo a multimillion-dollar bow-to-stern revitalisation before being deployed in Australia for the 2014/15 Southern Hemisphere summer season.

The 3,644-passenger ship will be joined again in Australia by Rhapsody of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas for the 2014/15 season which is now on sale.
 
Voyager of the Seas, which made her debut in Sydney for the 2012/13 season, will operate a 13-night journey from Singapore to Sydney on November 25, 2014, via the Coral Sea.
 
She leaves Sydney on March 16, 2015, on a 16-night sailing to Fremantle and on April 1 she departs Fremantle on a 14-night voyage to Singapore via Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City. 
 
Rhapsody of the Seas, which will be making her eighth consecutive season Down Under, sails from Vancouver to Sydney via Hawaii on September 5, 2014. She makes the return voyage to Vancouver from Sydney on April 17, 2015.
 
Radiance of the Seas, which came to Australia for the first time for the 2011/12 season, departs Vancouver for Sydney on September 12, 2014 and returns on April 19, 2015.
 
‘More than 140,000 passengers from more than 100 countries will enjoy our new summer 2014/15 programme,’ said Adam Armstrong, commercial director of Royal Caribbean Cruises Australia.
 
Armstrong said the three ships will offer a total of 55 cruises, ranging from two to 18 nights and calling at 37 ports across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
 
Highlights of Voyager’s itineraries include six Fijian cruises ranging from nine to 14 nights. Rhapsody’s programme includes a 10-night ‘Tasmania & South Australia’ cruise with an overnight in Hobart and visits to Burnie, Adelaide and Melbourne and four 11-night cruises to Queensland calling at Newcastle, Cairns, Airlie Beach and Brisbane.
 
Radiance will offer circumnavigations of Australia and New Zealand.
 
Royal Caribbean’s fully-escorted cruise-tours will showcase Australian wildlife, like koalas, kangaroos and saltwater crocodiles and wish-list  attractions like Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the Great Barrier Reef. 
 
Australian passengers who book by December 31 this year are being offered early bird savings of up to A$1,000 per person.
